Transition Global History & Geography Regents Exam Samplers Available
The Castle Learning social studies team has created three sampler exams to help teachers and students prepare for the transition Global History and Geography Regents Examination that will be given to students beginning in June. The three samplers are based on information provided by New York State, and we created them with the format and content we expect to see on the exams.
Each sampler on Castle Learning includes 30 multiple choice questions, one Thematic Essay question, and one Document Based Question. Just like the transition Regents exams, the Castle Learning samplers include content from only one year of study, grade 10 in Global History and Geography.
Just like Castle Learning’s past Regents exams, you can find the full 30 question multiple choice section, Thematic Essay and full DBQ set in one ready-to-go, pre-made assignment. Teachers can assign questions to students as a simple quiz with no feedback, or as an open practice assignment with clickable vocabulary links, hints, reasons and instant feedback (including extra help on the essays).
You can find Public Assignments by creating a new assignment:
Click the Public Assignments button and scroll to the bottom of the New York list to find the transition samplers:
Click on the blue plus sign to choose questions to add to your assignment.
Or you can use the Public Assignments directly:
Find the Public Assignments in the course: Social Studies –>Global History and Geography –> Castle Assignments –> New York as shown below:
You will see the transition samplers on the bottom of the New York list:
Click on the checkbox(es) and then the “Import” button. The exam(s) will now appear on your Global History and Geography assignment list and you are ready to assign it to your students!
