Webinar Series – 6-Sessions

This Webinar Series will introduce Teachers and Instructional Technology Support Specialists to almost all of the features in Castle Learning.  Each session is one-hour and typically held outside contract hours.  Attendees can sign up for as many of the sessions as they would like.

Intro to the student center teacher assignments, self-study, vocabulary, flashcards, and how students can answer constructed response questions using the equation editor when needed. Teachers will also be introduced to the creation and management of classes.

Intro to the creation of assignments using Castle Questions and Keyword Search as well as how to use Self-Assign to view an assignment from a student’s perspective or use it for a classroom activity on an interactive whiteboard.

Intro to the assignment editor features: renaming, add/delete questions, reorder, CR points, as well as how to print and assign online to students.

Intro to how students answer CR questions and how teachers grade CR questions. Teachers will be introduced to various reports that are available in Classes, Assignments and Reports including a Growth Report and Item Analysis Report as well as how to view individual student reports of a session and cumulative reports over time. The Mastery Retake Assignment feature will be introduced.

Intro to co-teacher, creating folders, sharing assignments, duplicating assignments and linking assignments to some LMS’s such as Google, Schoology and MS will be covered. In addition, a more in-depth look at finding questions in specific content areas.

Intro to Personal Content Sets where teachers can write their own questions, copy/paste from an existing set of questions, edit Castle Learning questions, add images, and add resources such as class notes, websites and videos.

eLearning Sessions

These sessions are geared towards remote and online learning activities.  Each session is one-hour.  Attendees can sign up for as many sessions as they would like.

Creating classes, creating assignments for online activities, attaching resources to assignments such as videos and class notes, and assigning to students.

Intro to Personal Content Sets where teachers can write their own questions, copy/paste from an existing set of questions, and edit Castle Learning questions.

Creating classes, creating assignments for online activities, attaching resources to assignments such as videos and class notes, and assigning to students. Content specifically looks at PE and Health type questions.

This session is designed for attendees who have used Castle Learning but are unfamiliar with the Attach Resources option (videos/class notes) for online learning with students.

Create a Hyperdoc to attach to online assignments to allow students to progress through activities and a Castle Learning assignment without having to swap back and forth from the resources that go with a learning objective.
