Teachers

The Regents results just came in for our high school. This year our chemistry students answered over 1.5 million questions as practice. The results are phenomenal. We went from a 52% mastery rate to 62% in just one year. Thank you for providing the materials to move our students to the next level.

Castle Learning is a powerful tool that allows teachers to set up assignments for different levels of assessment. Personally I love using it as a formative assessment, allowing the students to try each question, if they get it wrong, it will give them a hint, and they can retry and afterwards they get an explanation of how to solve the problem. In addition I enjoy taking advantage of the ability to allow students to retry questions from the assignment if they fall below a set by me mastery level. I can choose to give them the chance to redo the entire assessment, or I can choose to have the students only redo those questions they struggled with to reinforce the concept. Through this all students can feel successful and confident without the pressure of high stakes grades to encourage cheating. However, this is just one of many ways you can use Castle Learning to improve your classroom instruction and assessment, I suggest figuring out how it best works for you and your style as part of your toolkit for getting the best out of your students.

Hi Castle Learning, Warmest Greetings. As our school year winds down with NYS Regents exams forthcoming next week, I wanted to send a quick email to thank Castle Learning for the excellent resource that the Castle Learning platform has been for me and my students this school year. I use and have used the many teacher based digital resources (i.e. Google Classroom, Brightspace, Blackboard Collaborate, Albert.io, etc). Yet, Castle Learning has proven to be powerfully productive, logically arranged and a superb tool for teachers like myself who must focus on 'high stakes exams' (i.e. Regents, AP) to help our students become the best they can be in high school to college and beyond. Thank you again to the Castle Learning Team. Have a fantastic day.

For the past few years, I've been using Castle Learning to assign extra credit and take-home tests to high school social studies students. Your platform reinforces key ideas while building familiarity with the types of questions students will see on state exams. I value the data I receive concerning scores and the option of allowing half-credit for corrected answers. My in-class assessments are now short essays which develop my students' writing skills. Thanks to Castle Learning, I no longer feel the need to devote a full class period to a multiple-choice test.

I am happy to offer a few additional words about Castle Learning. I use Castle Learning as a tool to assess student's knowledge of concepts. I enjoy that the question database includes past NYS exam questions that allow my students to practice skills that will benefit them when they take the state assessments. The assignment data I receive helps me plan further instruction and offer immediate remediation to struggling students. It is quick and easy to make assignments for individualized practice so that students are working on needed skills. I also show my students how Castle Learning can be a resource for studying other subject areas. Castle Learning is one of the most useful teacher tools I have. I would be lost without it!

The primary use of Castle Learning is exam preparation. The students complete the m/c questions with one opportunity for each question. The students complete the m/c questions with one opportunity for each question. They may use their notes but must be careful in their work, since the score is recorded as part of their marking period average. I find these tasks to be very valuable in helping students consider for themselves how prepared they are to take their in-class unit exam. Hopefully, if done in advance, the Castle Learning test will help their studying. Thank you for providing my students with this resource.

I use Castle Learning in a variety of different ways. We use Castle Learning by topic to review and I love that you can select specific learning standards and topics to create assignments. We also develop assessments on particular topics and I love being able to select specific terms to search for questions. I also use it to differentiate my review for students; for example if I have a student with reading comprehension difficulty then I can go through and select reading passages for that student to practice with. I also love that there are multiple review assignments for each topic so that if a student doesn't do well on a particular topic standard, I can easily give a retest. My students love that there are actual practice Regents available so that they can take a couple of practice tests before the real thing.

I actually can't think of a single suggestion to improve Castle Learning!!!! I absolutely love how it gives hints if the child is wrong then explains right & wrong answers. It works beautifully for grammar & punctuation skills & check-ins. It grades itself & even tells you if the child got it right on the 2nd try (I make those 1/2 credit once I start counting the grades). I love it just the way it is!!

What a lifesaver Castle Learning is for a quick assessment of my students' learning! Castle Learning offers hints when the student chooses the wrong answer and allows them to try the question again. The best part... Castle Learning quickly grades the assignment for you! With this crazy hybrid school year in the COVID times, an online assignment that students can do remotely for a quick grade is a blessing to my life.

I had been using this platform since my school purchased this I think more than 10 years ago. It is a great tool to give assignments and assessments. It has updated questions of all topics based from the Regents in many subjects. It has thousands of questions, ELL friendly with translations, and explanations too whenever the student got the answer right or wrong. The student can also have their own Self Study and Practice Questions. I can also use this platform to discuss with the students certain questions that most students did not do right in their exams. During this remote teaching, this platform is really great tool for the teacher as well as for the students to become actively engaged with the material. The students also have a chance to answer the second time if they get the wrong answer the first time, so they are motivated to think and try again for the best answer. I recommend this platform to any teachers on Earth who are doing either fully remote or blended or full in-person instruction. This is awesome!!!

What I love about Castle learning is it levels the playing field for struggling students to be able to learn content area material. Many of our students have special needs and English is not their primary language. The Castle Learning students are able to pace themselves and achieve academic success as a result of their involvement with Castle learning. Now more than ever we as teachers can use these tools to instill and inspire lifelong learning in our students.

Castle Learning was my “go-to” during remote learning. Creating assignments is quick and easy. The ‘quiz mode’ is excellent for assessing students. The scheduling feature as well as the instant grading are fantastic. It gives you concrete data on student performance.

The new school year was quickly approaching and with all of the new rules and regulations, we needed something that could help identify our students' weaknesses. Something fast, easy, efficient, and effective. Castle Learning was our answer. After creating a Pre-Algebra review, we were able to get immediate information on where our kids were deficient. They made it easy to review, print reports, and help communicate with the kids. Overall, it made our first week back manageable. Thank you and I look forward to working with you throughout the year.

First, I would like to commend the support staff at Castle Learning for the quick turnaround time in answering my questions, both by phone and via email. I've never had to wait more than a few hours to get my technical questions answered, so with everyone's time being extra valuable through this pandemic, I really appreciate the prompt responses. Second, I have to say that the testing program has started very smoothly through the beginning stages of my virtual classroom. I was able to meet the testing needs of all my students with all the options available to me when designing an assessment, and for that, I am very thankful. Anything that makes our workload easier right now is valuable. I will continue to work with Castle Learning, even after we start to see students come back into the classrooms!

You all have been so helpful in a very challenging year. I really appreciate the support!

There are very few things that have been as consistent about my teaching as Castle Learning. Castle Learning has continued to provide me and my students the ability to access a seemingly endless supply of questions aligned with our standards and the state exam, and the resources to use the results in meaningful ways to help my students get what they need and to fill in gaps in my instruction. The data collection that once took teachers hours and hours of manual work, Castle Learning can do in mere seconds. When we do our annual assessment of technology-based resources, Castle Learning is automatically placed in the must-have category, it does not even require a discussion.

Thank goodness for Castle Learning during remote learning!! It offered the easiest way to assess students' learning! Options such as randomizing questions, offering partial credit for re-takes, or having questions read out loud to students offered some needed differentiation and encouragement to students! Enjoyed being able to look up questions based on learning standards, and the feature of sharing all materials with my co-teacher so we both had access! Wonderful resource!

When my school switched to remote learning in February 2020, Castle Learning saved our school year. My students were able to complete classwork assignments and assessments on Castle Learning. I was able to give questions that directly aligned to state standards and mirrored the content that I was teaching. My ENL students were able to do Castle Learning assignments in their native language with the translate function and my IEP students could still receive their accommodations of having questions read out loud and extended time. Castle Learning let me do everything I needed to as a teacher. It turned a chaotic end of the year into a success. Thank you!!!

I love using Castle Learning because it is easy to use and it contains a diverse quantity of regent questions! Additionally, the translation and readspeaker features help my students to understand questions better. The assessments reports guide my instruction by telling me the vocabulary and academic standards that my students need to improve. Castle Learning customer service is extremely fast and helpful. My students and I also comment about not having to wait on hold every time we call Castle Learning for help. We are happy to always have someone friendly and knowledgable at the other end of the line.

I have been using Castle Learning for years as a tool to help students to stay on track with reading novels and to help them learn grammar, usage and mechanics. I used the multiple choice questions for Night, an independent read, as open book quizzes. When we left for at home instruction, I was able to communicate with my students through your email system and, of course, I continued to use Castle Learning to finish up my unit on Lord of the Flies. The selection of titles is great and the access to the NYS regents exams is great resource for review that can also be used for reading comprehension. I plan to continue to integrate Castle Learning with my remote instruction.

As a bilingual earth science teacher, Castle Learning has been a blessing to our class. Castle Learning provides questions in English and Spanish which allows me to diversify my assessments supporting students at different levels of language acquisition.

I have used Castle Learning for years, however, this school year two things stand out. First is the excellent customer service and secondly, the new link to Google Classroom. Now, that's a game-changer. Going back to work during this pandemic is a challenge within itself. When Castle Learning developed a link and grades that export to Classroom, that made me happy!

We are operating under a hybrid schedule, 1/2 students in person each day, alternating days. Castle Learning allows me to assess the in-person students and the remote students simultaneously.

Castle Learning has been an essential tool in my classroom for getting students that quick practice and instant feedback. I love that I can create a formative assessment or review questions in minutes and every question has built in feedback and hints for kids that need it. I also LOVE making my own questions and adding my own feedback to be that goofy and quirky chemistry teacher my students see in class everyday!

I've used Castle Learning for many years. I remember when it used to be called School Island! One year I had a student who needed to pass the Global Regents Exam. I was able to have her practice using old Regents Exams on Castle Learning. They were easy to find & assign. Then we were able to pinpoint the areas that gave her the most difficulty. She finally passed the exam. I think all the Castle Learning practice made the difference!

We've used Castle Learning to level the playfield for our ENL students and students with disabilities during Remote Learning. It has been an invaluable resource!

Castle Learning was one of my go to tools during remote learning. The courses and materials were easy to set up. Our representative was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and was always there to help.

Castle Learning is a life-saver. My students love Castle Learning because they get to see the explanations for the questions/answers they get wrong. Also, it shows clues for getting the correct answers. As a teacher, I love this because it shows the questions from the past Regents Exam...very helpful.

Castle Learning has always been helpful throughout the years with all my students. I have used it with my self-contained classes and resource rooms. I love that if my students get a question wrong, they can read a helpful hint and get the answer correct on the second try. I also want to add that Castle Learning has helped all four of my own children succeed in their classes and prepared them for their college careers.

Castle Learning is a wonderful platform for engagement and learning in a virtual and hybrid learning model. It allows me to keep students actively involved in their education while maintaining high standards for all students. Instant feedback provides extension opportunities and detailed analysis of student strengths and weaknesses to differentiate instruction.

From the beginning of using Castle Learning, my students test scores increased 10%. I have one student who did over 3000 mc questions whose father to this day says that he passed the chemistry course because of me, the teacher, and Castle Learning. I use Castle Learning for review before every test; for my tests; and to create make up tests for those students who are absent on test day. I create worksheets and review sheets using Castle Learning. In fact my Science Dept is the largest user of Castle Learning in our building. Thanx! so much for providing this fantastic resource for my students!

When virtual learning started happening the way in which I could monitor student comprehension caused me to be concerned. What I was able to do was align problem sets with videos teaching content, which then gave immediate formative assessment and allowed me to monitor student issues. I had teachers then use my problem sets across New York State as I was able to share with people all the way in Long Island when I'm in Buffalo. It really showed the power of what Castle Learning can do.

I am very thankful for all of Castle Learning’s resources. I have used the resources to create weekly math assignments and assessments. The data from those helps to drive my instruction. I also show my students how to use this as a self study and practice tool. I have numerous students who now utilize the resources for multiple classes as a way to practice and study skills and topics. Castle Learning is one of the most valuable tools I have at my disposal. It is very user friendly and allows me to create assignments with ease. I can differentiate assignments based on individual student needs. I would highly recommend this to all teachers!

Castle learning has made it very easy for students to review their material and us teachers to grade their work. Time management is the key for better results.

I have watched and heard of colleagues using Castle Learning for several years. I wanted to use it this year in my math class. I found out that we usually only had accounts for specific grade levels, and one of those was not 7th grade. I asked our Assistant Principal about it and he did some research and learned of a way to have an account for everyone and so believe they even saved money this way!! I incorporated Castle Learning into my AIS classes for students to practice skills! I even had plans for Castle Learning practice for regular class time to prepare students for their State test... which as we know, didn’t need them. My goal is to get all of our incoming 7th graders accounts to start using CL for practice during our hybrid model of learning!

I use Castle Learning to develop my own questions with personal feedback that sounds like me. I am witty and the students know that these are my explanations on the feedback. I make them laugh at their mistakes as I guide them to the correct answer.

I was introduced to Castle Learning about four years ago by my administration team as we use Chromebooks in daily instruction. I absolutely love the function where I can set a mastery grade as students only need to retake the questions that they didn't understand in the last version. There is such a wealth of questions that teachers can select from. I can't wait to use it this year again with my students for everything from formative to summative assessment. Thank you!

Castle Learning has been a lifesaver during Distance Learning. I started using Castle Learning before March 2019 but didn’t fully utilize it until Distance Learning went into effect. There are endless possibilities to differentiate, assess, and help facilitate learning. One of my favorite features about Castle Learning is that I can call and instantly speak to a real person and not a machine to help me navigate the system.

Castle Learning has been a very handy tool for me because I teach bilingual kids, and most of the material is available in both English and Spanish. Features such as the ability to communicate with kids, assess students, and provide feedback right away are awesome to have at our disposal. The various modes of instruction and the read-aloud features are so helpful to the children that I teach. As we can imagine, Castle Learning will literally be a lifesaver when we are all in remote learning. Instruction for kids in truly meaningful ways is only a click away with Castle Learning.

My school has been using Castle Learning for a long time. I was introduced to it in a PD and thought "how cool" though I really didn't think it would help my gym class at all. Then we were thrust into distance learning. I was scrambling to keep my students involved in gym and health class. I assigned a health lesson to my high school class and their feedback was very heartwarming. I'm glad to have the opportunity to reach my students and it's thanks to Castle Learning and their support team. I will definitely be using Castle lLarning for my classes coming this fall and in the future.

I have been teaching High School Science for 35 years...I have used Castle Learning since its inception. I have utilized it for: short quizzes, long quizzes, take-home tests and quizzes, group work in the classroom and discover new information group work. The list of uses is endless within the school building always being able to follow the state curriculum guidelines. I have used Castle Learning for formal testing and informal prep testing. I have done many, many years of home tutoring throughout my district...used Castle Learning as a review tool, teaching tool, and "did you learn that" tool. Students can make their own tests, using that platform with wonderful results. When you look over the list of people that you receive testimonials from.....I am that teacher that remembers when there was no Castle Learning....... dark days where you made one assessment from a million different sources and it took hundreds of hours...each assessment being unused and filled with issues that you did not actually figure on until the instrument was given to your students. Assessment results not being as valid as you would have liked them to be.... As the song goes....." I am a believer......"

I have been using Castle Learning for years! I cannot do without its database of past NYS Earth Science Regents questions! I enjoy that there is always an Earth Science Reference Table available within the website, in case a student forgot theirs.

I've been using Castle Learning for the past 6 school years and will continue to use it during the 2020-2021 school year. I appreciate the ease of creating, editing, and assigning assignments as well as getting valuable information via reports.

During the current school year, I did not have time to watch the tutorials on using Castle Learning, so didn't use it; but now I love the simplicity of Castle Learning and will base most of my students' assignments/activities via Castle Learning. Why reinvent the wheel?

Castle Learning has made it very easy for students to review their material and us teachers to grade their work. Time management is the key for better results.

I was introduced to Castle Learning from my colleague. I started using Castle, so my students could practice grammar and reading skills. I love the ability for my students to practice and get an explanation. I use it as a class from time to time, and I allow a team rep to answer the question; it makes it more comfortable if a student is with a team and not alone. Castle is aligned with CCSS, so I am confident with the material. From time to time, I need to contact Castle, and I am given timely help with a quick solution.

In a time when we need to provide meaningful review both virtually and on paper (for students without internet access), Castlelearning has been phenomenal. It is a vital tool for reviewing any topic, is customizable by both teachers and students, and can easily be printed/graded/assigned. It is a wonderful tool to have at our remote fingertips.

I was just introduced to Castle Learning this summer in a PD course. I love the simplicity of creating new assignments and flashcards. I can't wait to customize my own set of flashcards for my students to use when we start school back up in the fall!

I've been using Castle Learning since it was called School Island. I do like to use it because I include Regents questions to every lesson, it's so easy to find relevant/related questions to the theme at hand using the vocabulary search. Last year I started using Castle Learning to administer tests in class. Our students were given Chromebooks, so I would make a test, use the randomized button to hinder the wandering eyes and whamo. Kids could see their test grade before leaving the room. Good for me, good for them, a real win-win. The only thing I wish Castle Learning would introduce is a vocabulary quiz generator from their vocabulary bank.

I use Castle Learning as homework assignments on a regular basis. I have been using it for much of the last decade. What I love about Castle Learning, is it provides students with the opportunity to practice standardized test questions. In New York state, students are challenged with taking the Regents Exam at the end of the year. I call this the "Readgents", because it is just as much a reading comprehension test as it is a content area exam. Castle Learning enables me to familiarize students with the wording of Regents style questions, as well as practice with the content. I use the data analysis feature of the scores report to craft my "do now" for the following day, incorporating questions that students had difficulty with into these assignments. Castle Learning has been a wonderful asset to distance learning as I'm able to use it for pre- and post-assessments. The score with retry feature give students the opportunity to learn from their mistakes. Another great feature of this tool, is that it allows students to craft their own practice tests before an exam. I look forward to using this technology each year- it has truly made me a better teacher and my students better readers and test takers!

Castle Learning is so helpful for creating both online and paper assessments for my students. I love that I can search by standard and refine the difficulty of the questions. Students can receive feedback on each question on the assessment, explaining why a certain answer is correct! I love the immediate feedback they can receive. Castle Learning has saved me so much time in my prep work over the years.

This school year would not been as successful as it was for my students if not for Castle Learning. Castle Learning not only provided an easy-to-use platform to devise evaluation tools, it also allowed to me quickly evaluate student learning and participation rate, which was invaluable information during our school's shut down. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU!!

I had an online chat with a CL representative this morning. Our school has had a representative offer us multiple professional development sessions via Zoom, and you have responded to my online question in a timely manner. I am very satisfied and impressed with the quality and level of customer support that CL offers!

Thank you SO MUCH for the incredible resources for the new Global 10 Regents Exam. It has been so helpful to have CRQs, enduring issues essays and essay exemplars readily available to use in my classroom. I also like how the multiple choice questions are organized into different categories (content and stimulus based) - this allows me to quickly find what I am looking for. I really appreciate all of your time and effort!!

Every time I contact Castle Learning, I am very happy with the customer support. Well done!

Thanks to the Castle Learning team, I have recently discovered that some of the recent US History & Government Thematic Essays and DBQ Essays have suggestions and guidelines that go past the simple hints and checklists provided for some of the older essays. These helpful tips provide suggestions, outlines and even sample writing that I can use with my student to help in guiding him/her toward a successful Regents Exam experience. I look at myself and my student as a team with a common goal of doing well on the NYS Regents in US History & Government. We use Castle Learning as a tool to help us work toward that common goal. To that end, the guidelines and suggestions help us visualize what a good essay should look like and how it should "sound." I "assign" both Thematic Essays and DBQs not as a method of grading, but so that we can work together to prepare good and adequate essays. The help provided by Castle Learning includes suggested wording for opening, body and concluding paragraphs; guidelines on organization; and content suggestions. These all help us to work together in learning how to write a successful essay.

I want to thank you for having such a great product! It has been great also to see how Castle Learning is constantly improving. Castle Learning is an integral part of my plan for educating my Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II/Trigonometry students throughout the year. I also use Castle Learning with my seventh grade students to help them review and prepare for state assessments. I have found that the seventh graders love it as an alternate way to practice and review. The students at my school have done very well on state math assessments. A couple of years ago, we had a 100% passing rate on the Math A exam. We also have high passing rates on the Math B exam. I have appreciated the effort you have gone through to provide clear, concise explanations of how to solve those problems that students complete incorrectly. I like the inclusion of the screen shots from the graphing calculator. I have also found the detailed reporting on individual students to be very helpful. I have used those reports to set up individualized assignments quickly and easily to meet the needs of students preparing to retake a state assessment. Castle Learning has been a wonderful classroom tool for me and my students. I encourage others to use this tool frequently.

Just wanted to say thank you to Castle Learning. I love the new feature of being able to see the specific properties of my teacher questions. I had to search relentless to find questions that I had created in order to fix problems with my typing etc. Thanks again.

You guys are AWESOME! I hope to be a Castle Learning user for a long time – and the fact that you work hard at keeping material current and seem to find a way to continue to make improvements will help to ensure that.

The Common Core question bank that Castle has available is so helpful! I can easily create assignments on Castle Learning that supplement the Common Core curriculum that my district uses.

Castle Learning is an effective tool for the classroom and home, that enhances student learning and makes for efficient assessment. Castle Learning is easily accessible to students and educators.

This is so great ! The live chat helped so much. Frustration doesn’t stand a chance!

Thank you! I am a Teacher of the Deaf for a district and have students ranging from Kindergarten to 12th Grade. As such I am responsible for previewing and reviewing an incredibly large and varied amount of content. CastleLearning has been an invaluable resource for me and my students. My students and I love your site and use it all the time!

Administrators

Castle Learning has saved countless hours of work from their bank of assessments. The previous platform we had to use took a great deal of time and effort and oftentimes work failed to save. Castle Learning eliminates all the nonsense other platforms bring. Thank you CL!!!

Castle Learning is a wonderful resource to use. I use it for Living Environment regents prep. I can tier assignments to help differentiate. ENL students can change the language which gives them the opportunity to participate.

As an IT administrator for the last 15 years it is heartening to know that companies like Castle Learning exist. This is not only because of their rich and constantly evolving content, but also for the stellar support that they provide to our users and our district. A perfect example of this was when our district inquired whether Castle Learning would consider exploring a means of logging on users via an individual district¹s network accounts. As someone responsible for numerous systems in our district I understand the significant work load of maintaining them. While the prospect of adding this feature presented logistical and programming challenges for Castle Learning’s team, they recognized the long term benefits would be great for districts and decided to implement it on our behalf. When you find a company that acts more like a partner than a vendor, that’s a relationship worth holding on to. Thank you Castle Learning for being that partner for us.

I could not miss the opportunity to let you know how wonderful Meghan Farrelly’s Island Trees training session was for the ELA and ESL teachers; she received rave reviews from the staff. When my colleagues and I met Meghan at the NYSEC Conference in Albany last month, we knew that she would provide the specific, hands-on ELA training our staff needed. Her knowledge base, coupled with her engaging personality, was just what we were looking for to kick-start our ELA Castle Learning use. Thrilled that she agreed to travel to Long Island to do two separate sessions, we viewed this as an opportunity not only to learn about the new materials and future offerings, but to also set up classes and assignments. The staff was extremely satisfied with the training, and they are ready to use the resources more regularly. Without such a thorough training, the resources would have remained unexplored!

Most of our students use the program on their personal computers to reinforce skills. We have received many favorable comments from parents who have observed their children using the program at home. The parents are very pleased that we have given the students the opportunity to do this kind of work at home when time is flexible.

I’d like to take a moment to thank you for your help with the staff development of Castle Learning. I believe Castle Learning played a significant role in our students performing so well on their Regents exams. As a result of their success, our school was named as a High Performing School by the NYS Board of Regents. Only one of 76 High Schools named in NYS. Thanks for your continued support.

Thank you for suggesting we copy the Castle Learning Handbook. With the increased interest on the part of our staff it makes sense for us to have the handbook readily available. Our involvement with you, your staff and your product continues to be one of the best bargains available to educational institutions such as Wilson Central. Your personal interest in the success of each individual student, teacher and district is one of the main reasons Castle Learning is so successful. Thank you for continuing to provide a quality product backed by extraordinary service. It continues to be a pleasure to work with a company that puts service and customer satisfaction so far up the priority list. Schools that have not bought into Castle Learning are missing out on one of the more cost efficient, effective, user friendly academic assistance aids available.

Thank you. Thank You. Thank You!!!! The training you provided for the teachers in Nyack was outstanding. Both the Castle Learning Beginners workshop and the workshops on how to use Castle Learning to differentiate instruction were greatly appreciated by the participants. The workshop showed them what they needed to know in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner. As always, your representative has been there to help us make this product work in our schools. I wish every company we worked with had the same level of concern and responsiveness that I have come to count on with Castle Learning. Each of my requests for assistance or suggestions has been responded to quickly and professionally, and I greatly appreciate that….Thanks again for all of your help.

Thank you again for the wonderful resource and customer service that you provide! Our student success rate on the Regents’ Exams and the AP exams is something we are very proud of — and Castle Learning is an integral part of our students’ academic lives here at Seton Catholic Central.

Thank you for the wonderful site that really helped my chemistry students do better this year than last. I was more familiar with the program and found it easier to incorporate into year end reviews. Thanks again!

I would like to mention that my class (Middle years program IB Hons) has just received their results for the NC EOC, and every person scored a 4! These students usually all score 3 or 4’s, but this is first time, all 4’s. We used Castle Learning fairly extensively, scheduling one lesson every week at the computers, and some to complete for homework (as well as in class instruction and homework). One of the things I like about Castle Learning (in addition to the obvious good questions and supplied solutions) is that it keeps track of individual student scores, and they cant “cheat” by saying they have finished, when they haven’t.

Parents & Students

Dear Professor Bill: I am writing to convey to you how valuable Castle Learning has been in the academic improvement of my son, who has just finished his 9th grade year at Hoggard High School in Wilmington, N.C. He has made tremendous improvement this year in science and math while utilizing Castle Learning under the guidance and encouragement of Hoggard staff. Castle Learning allowed him the flexibility to work on skills away from the formality of the school day and to work at his own pace. I am proud of my son’s advancement this year in developing his academic skills with the assistance of his Hoggard mentors and your software, but most importantly, someone I love deeply gained confidence in his own ability to learn and achieve. That cannot be measured in GPA or letter grades, but as Einstein said, not everything that counts can be counted and not everything that is counted, counts. You are doing good, important work. I wanted to let you know.

Thank you for providing such a powerful tool for my studying. I’m a 10th grade student and I recently created a practice Chemistry quiz in preparation for my midterm. Your questions have been indispensable in studying for tests. After teachers have given out all practice problems and worksheets, I can make these tests that always shock me with their complete correspondence to in class lessons. Thanks again for helping me reach so many great high school test grades.

I just want to take this opportunity to tell you again how much your website has helped my daughter through high school. She started out in special education classes, and with the help of your website, she has passed (with good grades) all of her regents examinations. She is in all mainstream classes and is now taking chemistry. Thank you again.

Castle Learning Tech Support: Thank you very much for your help with accessing our son’s account so that he can keep up with his studies over the summer. We took some sample tests ourselves to familiarize ourselves with your site and were very impressed! The hint and reasons for the answers are great tools. This is one of the best educational sites we have been on. Our son also is impressed with your site and appreciates its student friendliness.

My daughter attends Paul V. Moore HS in Central Square. She loves the review questions on Castle Learning. She has found Castle Learning a very valuable study tool. She uses the site frequently to review for tests, beginning with the easy questions and working up to the more difficult questions. She feels that often the questions she has on tests parallel questions she sees on Castle Learning. She is one of the top students in her class and she attributes some of her success to studying using Castle Learning.

Technical Staff

I have been using Castle Learning quite often over the last 2 months. The NYS CBT started this week. There is one class that I have worked a lot with using the program. I stopped by yesterday afternoon and the students shared their testing experiences with me. They were all a lot less nervous than their peers because they knew the tools and knew what to expect. They actually were barricading the door and didn’t want me to leave. They wanted me to do another Castle lesson with them.

I have always known Castle Learning Support was above and beyond, but as we buy more and more cloud-based products getting even acceptable support is difficult. Tickets go months without acknowledgement and trying to explain to teachers that I am waiting for feedback when it is a huge issue to them just discourages them from using the products. With Castle Learning, I know I can reach someone for support by phone, chat or email and get the help I need right away!

As an instructional tech specialist, Castle Learning is an essential tool for my students in grades 7-12. It provides authentic assessments and is so easy to use.

Thank you so much for your assistance establishing the Single Sign On (SSO) through ClassLink. You are the seventh application we have added to our ClassLink SSO - and apparently, the seventh time is the charm. The process was seamless. Ron and Deanna at Castle Learning conferenced with ClassLink to share the data needed to create the LTI application. A follow-up call between me, Ron and Deanna established the data link, verified the data format, and addressed basic questions. Castle Learning support made this effortless. Again, thank you!

This is awesome! We’re amazed at how many students are on-line before school and over the weekend.

We demonstrated three different review programs to the kids [including a well-known company’s on-line product] and let them pick which they wanted to use. Your on-line program has been hands down, the most inviting … the format and helps are great … a Great Product!

Castle Learning has been very beneficial for our students. Not only has it fit into our AIS program and classrooms, the students are also using it in the convenience of their own homes after school hours.

Our teachers and students have been using Castle Learning since 2002. Each year brings more positive changes to the web site, and more eager teachers/students take advantage of this convenient and effective learning tool. All of our students have learning difficulties to overcome, and many have found Castle Learning a welcome relief from the typical frustration of group review. Those who need additional reading support or auditory feedback use a text-to-speech program to interact with the web site and have full control over the pace of the review. Keep up the great work & we’ll keep making excellent use of this invaluable resource.

It’s really great to finally find something that works this well! Technically, Castle Learning is one of the best programs I’ve ever worked with… I have worked with teachers setting up class lists and creating assignments; this too works remarkably well. Technical support from Castle Learning is terrific; they respond immediately to e-mails, yet most of the information I need is in their well written user guides.
