New social studies questions with a focus on United States History are now available in our middle school levels (G, H and I). Topics include the Anasazi, 13 Colonies, American Revolution, Articles of Confederation/Constitution, Trail of Tears, Native American Citizenship, and the Harlem Renaissance. Many of the questions include reading selections from our partner Cobblestone & Cricket Media, an award winning producer of 15 magazines. The Castle social studies team is excited to showcase these articles along with our original questions, which will give students meaningful learning experiences and the opportunity to practice critical thinking skills. All questions are aligned with the Common Core Literacy Standards in History/Social Studies and state standards where appropriate.
Question types include multiple choice, constructed response, dropdown menus, drag & drop and “check all that apply” options. These questions can be found by searching in the following topics:
