New social studies questions with a focus on the Silk Road and Byzantine Empire are now available in our middle school levels (G, H and I). All questions include at least one reading selection from our partner Cobblestone & Cricket Media, an award winning producer of 15 magazines. The Castle Learning Social Studies Team is excited to showcase these articles along with our original question sets, which will give students meaningful learning experiences and the opportunity to practice critical thinking skills.
These questions are based on two articles from CALLIOPE magazine, “Digging up the Past,” and “A Road with Many Routes.” Question types include multiple choice, constructed response and “check all that apply” options. These questions can be found by searching in the following topics:
Social Studies > World History > Cultures in Contact (100-1500) > The Role of Trade Routes
Social Studies > World History > Cultures in Contact (100-1500) > Byzantine Empire
