The ELA Content Team has added Essay Task Questions to 74 high school English reading sets. These passages and essay tasks are originally from New York State Regents exams from 2002-2010. While the exam format has changed, these essay questions are still useful for both teachers and students. There are a number of task questions that ask students to write an argumentative essay. There are also several questions in which students are required to compare two texts and develop a central idea while comparing the authors use of literary elements.
